Bears coach John Fox said Monday afternoon that doctors “feel good” about Zach Miller’s recovery from a serious leg injury he suffered Sunday.
“I don’t want to go down that path,” Fox said. “I’m not a doctor. I don’t know. But I think they feel good about where he is right now as it relates to that.”
Miller suffered the brutal injury in the third quarter of Sunday’s game while making an incredible one-handed catch in the end zone. The play was initially ruled a touchdown, but a replay review overturned the call as he was carted off the field with his leg in an aircast.
Fox said he talked with Miller earlier Monday and he was in good spirits, but, “He pretty much wanted his touchdown back.”
One day later, the team played more like the defending champions, using a stifling defense to blow out the Los Angeles Clippers 141-113. It was Golden State’s 11th consecutive win over Los Angeles.
“That looked like us,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said.
